Strategic Planning

The Strategic Planning Branch is responsible for strategic planning for the Planning Program and the Division of Transportation Planning (DOTP). The Branch develops, implements and monitors the strategic planning activities for DOTP and coordinates strategic planning activities for the Planning Program (Aeronautics, Mass Transportation, Programming, Rail, Transportation Planning, and Transportation System Information) and Local Assistance.

The Branch works with the Department management, the Planning Program, DOTP and the districts and headquarters divisions on strategic planning activities, including the Planning Program Level Action Plan, the Planning Program Performance Improvement Initiative, the District Expectation Agreement Program Level Action Plan, the DOTP Operations Plan, and the Planning Program Transportation System Performance Measures.
