California Interregional Blueprint Summit Integrating California's Transportation Future The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is pleased to invite you to the California Interregional Blueprint (CIB) Summit on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, from 8:00am-10:30am in Sacramento. The CIB Summit will provide you with the opportunity to provide valuable input in the development of California Interregional Blueprint Interim Report due to the California State Legislature and California Transportation Commission (CTC) by December 31, 2012. SB 391 (Liu 2009) requires the State’s long-range transportation plan to meet California’s climate change goals under AB 32. In response to these statutes, Caltrans is preparing the CIB to articulate the State’s vision for an integrated, multimodal interregional transportation system that complements regional transportation plans and land use visions. The CIB Summit will include two panel discussions with audience participation. The first panel, made up of representatives from metropolitan planning organizations, a rural transportation planning agency and the California Air Resources Board, will discuss the CIB Interim Report and new tools, partnerships and integrated approaches to transportation. The second panel will focus on the CTC Statewide Transportation Needs Assessment and include representatives from the California Transportation Commission, San Diego Association of Governments, the California High Speed Rail Commission, Caltrans and a representative from the private sector.
SUMMIT DATE & LOCATION: 400 P Street The summit will also be simulcast on the Internet, allowing both in-person and webcast participation. Seating is limited. Please RSVP by Friday, May 11, 2012.
