Caltrans Responds to the Valley Fire
LAKE COUNTY—When disaster strikes in California, Caltrans is one of several state departments ready at a moment’s notice to help in emergency response and recovery.
In this Caltrans News Flash, spokesperson Betsy Totten shares information about the Valley Fire, which has ravaged 70,000 acres in Lake, Sonoma and Napa counties. The fire has displaced thousands of residents and destroyed hundreds of homes, and has compromised Routes 29 and 175. Totten explores what Caltrans is doing to get the people of Lake County back into their homes and on with their lives.
