If the answer to 1 is No, What is the new mission statement?

2 .  How has the waste stream, i.e. those materials disposed in landfills, changed since the Integrated Waste Management Plan was submitted?

We are recycling aluminum cans, plastic, and glass. We are mulching our lawns with the grass clippings.

3 .  What waste diversion programs are currently in place and what waste diversion programs were implemented in 2001 to meet the waste diversion goals?

We are continuing to recycle newspaper and office paper. We donate electronic equipment and components to non profit organizations. We implemented a program for grasscycling to provide mulch for our lawns. We recap all used tires when possible. All scrap metals are recycled. Asphalt grindings are utilized for road fill and shoulder backing.

4 .  How were the amounts of materials disposed and diverted, that were entered into the Annual Report, determined (e.g. waste assessments, per capita generation and extrapolation, actual disposal weights, or actual recycling weights)?

By actual disposal and recycling weights.

5 .  What types of activities are included in each of the reported programs? For example does your agency Business Source Reduction include email, double-sided photocopying, reusing envelopes, etc.?

We utilize e-mail for the majority of our correspondence. We utilize double-sided photocopying whenever its practicle. We reuse all of our large envelopes when routing items to and from Sacramento. We recycle all toner cartridges. We use on line forms whenever possible through FormsFlow. We launder all the shop rags. We have replaced all incandescent light bulbs with long life bulbs.
