Prepare Draft Contract Documents (Nonqualified Projects)

Narrative

For projects that are "not qualified", the Office of Office Engineer (OOE) is responsible for preparing the draft contract documents.

Prepare Request for Funds

Narrative

An important step in preparing the final contract documents is to obtain funding. A draft Request for Funds must be prepared and then reviewed by the district. The Division of Budgets will submit the request to the CTC.

Obtain CTC Funding Approval

Narrative

The Division of Budgets submits the Request for Funds to the CTC. The Request for Funds should be submitted to Headquarters about six weeks in advance of the CTC meeting scheduled for the funding vote.

Obtain FHWA Approval of PS&E for Interstate System Projects

Narrative

PS&E Submittal and a FNM-76 for applicable projects on the Interstate System are sent to the FHWA for approval.
