Standard Plans

2006 Standard Plans (U.S. Customary units) ... .pdf , .dwg and .dgn file formats. These plans are to be used with the 2006 Standard Specifications and Standard Special Provisions (SSPs).

2004 Standard Plans (Metric)... A 2004 edition of the Caltrans Standard Specifications was not developed and is not available. The July 1999 edition of the Caltrans Standard Specifications will continue to be used to support the July 1999 edition of the Standard Plans and the July 2004 edition of the Standard Plans.

2002 Standard Plans (Dual-Unit) ...(Superseded) (.pdf, .dxf and .dgn files are here! Check back later for the pdf's)
These plans are superseded by the 2006 (U.S. Customary Units) Standard Plans and the 2004 (Metric Units) Standard Plans. These plans should only be used by local agencies for on-going construction contracts.

Due to budgetary constraints, since July 2003, Dual-Unit standards have not been consistantly updated.

1999 Standard Plans (Metric)...(Superseded) These plans have been superseded by the 2004 Metric Standard Plans and should only be used for on-going construction contracts.
