Inquiry #12: In regards to Bid Item 189, the single location shows the foundatino will be near a catch basin (Sheet SD-2). Will the catch basin be removed and the foundation be installed? Also, is 186.4 feet deep for a single sign foundation correct? There is no detail showing that this quantity is to be used for the single 16" CIDH sign foundation, and that seems too deep for one foundation
Inquiry submitted 11/21/2012

Per Sign Details sheet SD-12 (373/885), the overhead sign structure slab reinforcing detail for overhead sign “H” is centered at STA “A” 131+97. The existing inlets to be adjusted (Drainage Systems 10b & 10c) are centered at approx. STA “A” 131+72, allowing for an approximate clearance of 15’+ from the nearest edge of the slab reinforcing footprint for Sign “H”. The inlets are not intended to be removed.

There are a total of six (6) 16” CIDH piles at this location; their total combined length is approx. 190 LF.
