Inquiry #3: There is a large Design Build project on Route 91 bidding in January 2013. We would like to request that the bid date for Contract 08-0N5904 be postponed two weeks to January 31, 2013 if possible.

Response #2:The Bid Opening Date, as was originally scheduled, is January 17, 2013. This date will remain unchanged and will not be postponed because the project needs to be awarded by February 2013.

Inquiry #4: Is the 8% DBE Requirement mandatory or is this a Goal? The Notice Inviting Bids states it as a "Goal" but on ca.gov, it is a "Requirement". Please advise as to whether it is mandatory to meet the 8% DBE.

Inquiry #5: Item # 73 - Welded Wire Mesh Temporary Fence, are these welded wire mesh or commercial grade hardware cloth, please clarify. Welded Wire Mesh for Temporary Fence would be very costly. Thanks
