Inquiry #2: Duty Senior;

Project plans for the above referenced project do not include demolition plans. There are several large oak trees adjacent to the widening/ shoulder work which appear to conflict with the work, but are not noted to be removed. Can you provide a list of trees which need to be removed for this project? Also, the work appears to encroach on existing vineyards, the extent of which is not clear on the plans. Is the clearing and related irrigation removal a part of this contract? If so, can you issue a plan showing the extent of vineyard removal and also any related irrigation systems that need to be removed?

Response #2:There are a total of 7 trees in conflicts with the widening work. These trees will be removed by others before the construction starts. The layout sheets already showed the new right of way lines. The contractor needs to contact Caltrans Right of Way Engineering for accurate right of way data. The vinery and the irrigation system that encroach into the new right of lines shall be removed by the contractor under the pay item "CLEARING AND GRUBBING".
