Response #2:Sheet No. 119 (E-22) shows Location 21 and 22. E-22 is correct in not stating Location No. 19. See Sheet LC-1.

Inquiry #4: Section 10-1.28 of the Special Provisions states that "At the locations and to the limits shown on the plans, material below the bottom of retaining wall footings shall be removed and replaced with Class 3 aggregate base...". I find no locations or limits indicated on the plans that identify this. Is it CalTrans' intent to have all the retainng wall footings sub-excavated, or is this an error in the special provisions.

Response #2:The Special Provisions are correct and there is currently no retaining walls that show the sub-excavation.
