Inquiry #1: 1.Plan Sheet No. 4 (L-1) Note #2 States "Roadside Clearing will consist of plant removal only".
Should the contractor assume "plant removal" includes trees, brush and grass?
If trees are to be cleared does this include the stumps?

Roadway Quantities Table:

1. What is the 330 ton AC Structure ?

2. What makes up the 380 SQYD Place HMA (Misc Area)?
There is no mention of it in a detail or on the Layout sheets.

Response #2:5/6/13: [1] The 330 ton "AC Structure", shown on the Roadway Quantities chart under HMA (Type A) is the quantity for the full depth structural section as shown on the typical cross sections as differentiated from the areas of overlay and/or superelevation change.
[2] The 380 SQYD of Place HMA (Misc Area), shown on the Roadway Quantities chart corresponds to the "AC Gutter" shown under "Minor HMA" on the same chart.
