Inquiry #1: Railroad Exposure: A review of the Caltrans-posted project plans show a Union Pacific Railroad line directly parallel and adjacent to S. Route 99/Frontage Road at “Location 2 – Jack Tone Road, Ripon, CA.” While the currently posted documents do not call out a requirement for Railroad Protective liability, we request verification from the Owner.

Inquiry #2: Is there any portion of road that is greater than a 2.5% slope that will receive the high friction surface treatment?

Response #2: A pavement survey was not performed. Some locations shown on the plans to receive HFST are on curved alignment, and therefore have superelevation.
