Inquiry #2: Reference plan sheet 11 of 29, Stage Construction. The legend for Stage 1 states "Construct Precast RCB behind Temp K Rail". The typical section for stage 1 states "complete closure". Question- Why are we working behind K rail if we are constructing the RCB during a complete freeway closure? In addition, the Traffic Handling Quantity plan sheet, sheet 15, only shows a quantity of Temporary Railing (Type K) for stage 2. Please review.

Inquiry #3: The typical section for stage 1 construction on sheet SC-2 shows K-rail 32' from the CL of the roadway for Stage 1a and 1b. However, the K-rail quantities on sheet THQ-1 and on bid items 9 and 11 only cover the 1200 LF required for stage 2. Please clarify under which bid item the K-rail for stage 1 is to be paid under.
