Response #2:Sheet C-8 shows various possible pavement conforms within the project limits. All these conform details are necessary.

  • Pavement Conform on the mainline , at the beginning and end of the project limits.

  • Pavement Conform under OC, there are a number overcrossings within the project limit where cold planning under the overcrossing may not possible, thus the need for a pavement confirm to terminate before the overcrossing and to begin after the overcrossing.

  • Conform paving on ramps, this is applicable at most ramp terminals.

  • Pavement Conform on ramp/mainline – this conform detail is applicable at the transition between the mainline and ramps.
