Inquiry #5: You have answered the question regarding the disparity of footage for K-Rail. Are you going to issue an addendum to correct the quantity from 20 ft to 1,000 ft?

There is no pay item for traffic control - how is the traffic control to be paid?

Is there any supplemental geotech report for this project? There is an 8 ft deep junction structure on the project. We would like to know if there is a potential for ground water intrusion.

b) Traffic Control is paid under Maintain Traffic ( item no. 066070) with Lump Sum of $ 132,000. See Addendum 4.

c) The project does not qualify for full geotechnical report . There are no retaining walls or bridges or deep cuts or fills. The Drainage is a spot location and any water encountered will be handled per Standard specs for dewatering.

Response #2:The State can provide the winning bidder a survey to layout the centerline of the barrier or layout line of the barrier(it may not be centerline of barrier) along with survey slope stakes.

Inquiry #7: The special provisions provide for a shoulder closure only under the traffic control section. However, in order to set & remove K-rail and to cut in the drainage pipe at DU No. 2f which crosses the ramp, a ramp closure will be necessary. What times will be allowed for a ramp closure?

Inquiry #8: Can the state please add a pay item to the bid documents for traffic control. Per inquiry #5 it has been said that it's paid under maintain traffic control system but that item does not exist on bid documents. Also where is the $132,000 lump sum coming from and can that be shown on bid documents?

Inquiry #9: A ramp closure will be required to set Temp K-Rail and to pickup. There is not enough room to have a through lane and equipment under a shoulder closure.
