Inquiry #1: There is a bid item for Remove Culvert (2 EA), however the drainage profiles do not show this pipe, it's length or size.

Please provide a size & type of pipe to be removed. Please verify that the station limits shown in the drainage summary correspond to the length of removal.

The six portable CMS boards are only shown in the Motorist Information Plan (MI-1). Are these to remain in place for the entire duration of the project?

Is it the intend of the plans to install the interlocking steel sheet piles shown at Location No. 2 in four continuous runs @ 13.5' deep? The limits of work total 264 LF of roadway. If there are four runs @ 264 LF EA x 13.5' deep, this amounts to 14,256 SF of sheet piling, not 15,840 SF per the bid item quantity. Please adjust the bid quantity to fit the actual quantity to be installed.

Inquiry #2: 1. The detail for trench backfill (Rapid Set Concrete) shows up on plan sheet 6 directly across from the plan view showing an existing culvert crossing perpendicular to centerline at Location 2. This might lead one to believe that this is to protect the existing culvert at this location during excavation for cell crete. However, in the Summary of Quantities, the Rapid Set Conc is designated at Location 3 from Sta 0+00 to 3+54 @ 79.6 CY. Is this to be done at Location 2 or Location 3?

2. The detail stated above appears to show reinforcement running parallel to the pipe. What is the size of this reinforcing?

3. Is the pipe backfill for Location 2 to be standard pipe backfill per Std Specs or per the detail described above?
