All bid summaries from January 2009 and after can be found on our bid summary list, where the most recent bid openings are listed by date. http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/esc/oe/awards/bidsum_html/6week_list.php All other bid summaries can be searched by contract number or bid opening date here: http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/esc/oe/planholders/bidsum.php --------- Old Readme Information ------------ To obtain the bid results for a specific contract, you need to know its bid opening date. The bid results of all the contracts on a given day are put into a single file. These files are then placed into the month folder in which the contracts were opened. These bid summary files have the following format: YYMMDDRX.doc Where YY is the year MM is the month DD is the day of the bid opening RX is the revision for that file and "doc" extension just signifies it is a Microsoft Word document. If your Web Browser has its helper applications configured to launch Microsoft Word when it sees a .doc extension, the Browser will automatically view the files with Word when you click on them from within the Browser. These files were created in Microsoft Word for Macintosh 5.1a and can be read by Microsoft Word 6.0 or greater for Windows, 6.0 or greater for DOS, or 5.0 or greater for Macintosh. If you do not have Microsoft Word and you have Windows, you maybe able to download Microsoft Viewer (freeware) from Microsoft. Also, it is best that you use a fixed font (Courier) in a 10 point size with a laser printer that can reduce the printouts to 95%. You may use other fonts (Courier New) or other point sizes (9 point) if you do not have Courier font or the ability to reduce the printouts, but they do not look like the original bid summary. The only other requirement is that you set your program for landscape mode.
