California Bridge Construction Forum

The California Bridge Construction Forum is a partnership between Caltrans Structure Construction and Bridge Industry Contractors of California. The specific intent of this forum is to improve communication and encourage collaboration between contractors and Caltrans in improving processes and standards. The format of this forum will include both open discussion as well as discussion focused on topics predetermined by survey. The focus of this forum will be bridge construction related issues. You may utilize our Q&A Webpage to send questions to Rob Stott. Responses will also be posted.

The California Bridge Construction Forums for 2009 is tentatively scheduled for late March in Sacramento and in Southern California (location and exact date TBD). Attendees from Caltrans will include the Structure Construction Area Bridge Construction Managers from across the state, Headquarters Bridge Construction Managers, and the Chief for Structure Construction statewide operations. Targeted attendees for the Bridge Construction Industry include Project Superintendents, Engineers, Managers and Executives. Caltrans is here to listen and encourages you to utilize this forum.

Topic and Participation Surveys have been sent out to the Bridge Construction Industry and are due December 15th, 2008. The survey can also be accessed here. The survey results will help the California Bridge Construction Forum to better fit the Bridge Construction Industry needs. The Agenda Forming Committee, whose members will include Industry representatives and Structure Construction Managers, will finalize the details after review of these survey results.
