The following is a list of fact sheets available concerning other contaminated
sites along the path of the new Cypress Freeway. At the time of distribution,
Caltrans mailed copies to the Cypress environmental mailing list and all
residences in the 94607 ZIP Code. Copies are currently available at the
Cypress Information Office, or from DTSC.

Common Environmental Terms
Soil Gas
Air that fills spaces in the soil between the
ground surface and the groundwater. Soil gas
may contain chemicals.
Upgradient
A description for groundwater, the same as "upstream" is to surface
water.
Groundwater
Water beneath the earth's surface that flows
(often quite slowly) through soil and rock
openings.

a whole, by visiting the Cypress Public Information Office at the Glove
Building. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The full administrative records for the Bobo's Junkyard Draft Removal Action
Workplans are available in the DTSC Berkeley office. To review the administrative
records, please call (510) 540-3800 to make an appointment between the hours
of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
