PCC Grinding Waste Characterization
In 2004 - 2005, Caltrans had Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) grinding waste from several transportation projects sampled and analyzed in order to develop a waste characterization that can be used as a general reference for this type of waste material. The results of this work are found in the "Report of Findings State-Wide Portland Cement Concrete Waste Supplemental Study" dated April 29, 2005. Please note that this information can be used as a guide only and that waste from any specific job will differ in composition due to site specific factors.
