ResX

Overview

The Department of Transportation (Department) implemented ResX, an Internet booking tool, to minimize travel agency fees and to streamline the airline, rental car, and hotel reservation process. To maximize savings, the Department has mandated the use of ResX when purchasing airfare for State business.

ResX has been customized to include the Department's travel policies as well as the Department of General Services' airline and rental car contracts. ResX allows an employee to make travel arrangements without the assistance of a travel agent and allows a traveler and designated travel planner to:

  • Make commercial car rental reservations.
  • Modify reservations before Brooke's Travel, Inc. issues the final itinerary.
  • Reserve flights at the State's contracted rates.
  • Reserve hotel accommodations at the State's lodging rate.
  • Reserve in-state non-refundable flights with Southwest Airlines.
  • Reserve out-of-state non-refundable flights.
  • Update key areas of the traveler's profile.
  • View all reservations booked online.
  • View and price all itineraries using contracted and non-contracted rates.

Before using ResX, an employee must request a ResX account. All ResX accounts have specific user IDs, reference the employee's e-mail address, and require unique passwords for security. After an account has been created, login instructions will be e-mailed to the employee explaining how to access the system.
