Riverside County - From State Route 74 to the Banning city limit.
The route begins in high forested mountains and traverses along an
extensive ridge of the San Bernardino Mountains eventually dropping abruptly through
a series of switchbacks, several thousand feet to the floor in Cherry Pass. As
it drops to the desert, there are many spectacular views easterly to the desert
around Palm Springs and westerly to the San Bernardino Valley and northerly to
the high peaks of the San Bernardino range.
