This national Magazine's cover story highlights Caltrans sustainable erosion control toolbox. The toolbox was developed in partnership with Caltrans District 5 as the District utilized a multi-diciplinary team to resolve recurring slope stabilization problems on a recent project.

California Agencies Partner to Increase Compost Use on Roadsides.

This article highlights the benefits of a recent partnership between Caltrans and the California Integrated Waste Management Board (IWMB). Included are descriptions of statewide compost workshops and revisions made to Caltrans specifications based upon these workshops.
