Caltrans is identifying and marking dead and dying hazardous trees that could impact the safety of the traveling public along the state highway. Some of these trees could fall toward the roadway from private property, blocking traffic or causing injury and damage.
Permission To Enter
Caltrans will remove dead and dying, hazardous trees from public and private property that could impact the safety of the traveling public along the state highway, at no cost to the property owner. However, written consent is required, prior to performing the tree removal work outside of the state highway right-of-way.
If you have received a Caltrans “Permit to Enter” request in the mail, you have two options:
Option 1 – Sign in ink and mail the “Permit to Enter” form to the Caltrans District Office address indicated on the letter.
Option 2 – Sign by e-signature and submit the “Permit to Enter” form electronically. Start by clicking on the button below, and follow the registration instructions.
