As of the meeting of the Mono County Local Transportation Commission on October 18, 2004, work on this project has been suspended pending further direction from the Local Transportation Commission.

The project starts from one mile north and extend to four miles north of Lee Vining.

Project Description:

This project was proposed in 1997 to improve the operational safety of this section of highway and provide pullout opportunities to view Mono Lake. The scope of the project is to provide a highway cross section with 12 foot lanes and 8 foot shoulders, provide paved pullout opportunities for lake viewing, and upgrade the drainage and other facilities to current design standards.
