Project
Description:
Caltrans developed this project through the
Two- and Three-Lane Highway Monitoring Program
to implement cost effective safety improvements
from 0.6 mile north of North Haiwee Road to
2.5 miles south of Ash Creek Road - the remaining
section of two-lane highway. The project will
make improvements to the two-lane highway until
the ultimate facility, four-lanes (Olancha/
Cartago Four-Lane), can be realized.
The
project includes widening the existing four-foot
shoulders to eight-feet, placing rumble strips
along each shoulder, and placing rumble strip
along the centerline in locations where the
highway is striped as no passing.
Project
Status:
The
project is in the Final Design (How
