Project Funding:

This project was funded through Roadway Preservation (Roadway Rehabilitation) and programmed in the 2000 State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP).

Project Information:

Prime Contractor: Sierra Nevada Construction, Inc (from Sparks, Nevada).
Construction: Construction of the project will occur in three stages Construction Staging (note: plans may vary at time of construction). The roadway and sidewalks will be constructed half-width at a time in stages 1 and 2. Stage 1 involves construction along the west half of the highway and one lane of traffic in each direction on the east half of the roadway. Stage 2 redirects one lane of traffic in each direction to the west half of the roadway and construction occurs along the east half of the highway. Stage 3 consists of an asphalt concrete overlay across the entire roadway and placing final stripe. Each stage is expected to take about 8 weeks to construct. During this period, at least one access point will be provided to adjacent residences, businesses, and facilities at all times. There will be no parking on either side of town during the duration of construction activities.
