This project is located on U.S. Highway 395 in Inyo County. The project limits extend from 4.0 miles north of Independence to 8.6 miles south of Big Pine.

Project Description:
This project will upgrade 14.3 miles of existing two-lane conventional highway to a four-lane expressway near Independence from 0.3 mile north of North Fort Road to 0.1 mile south of Elna Road.
Project Status:
The project is in the Final Design (How A Project Gets Built) phase, and design of the selected alternative is in progress. The schedule shown below is dependent on the future availability of funds.
