This project is located on U.S. Highway 395 in Inyo County.  The project limits extend from 7.6 miles north of Lone Pine to 2.0 miles south of Independence.

Project Description:

This project will upgrade 6.2 miles of the existing two-lane conventional highway to a four-lane expressway near Independence from 1.2 miles north of Moffat Ranch Road to 1.8 miles south of Mazourka Canyon Road.

Project Status:

The project is in the Final Design (How A Project Gets Built) phase, and design of the selected alternative is in progress.   The schedule shown below is dependent on the future availability of funds.
