Manzanar ⁄ Independence 4 Lane Project

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in conjunction with Granite Construction Company, Inc will widen 11.1 of existing 2-lane highway in Inyo County to a 4-lane expressway. This work includes building 80 drainage systems, constructing a new bridge for northbound traffic spanning the Los Angeles Aqueduct, as well as installing sidewalks and lighting for the town of Independence.
