CALWATER TO BEGIN WORK ON MOONEY BOULEVARD

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces that California Water Service Company (Calwater) will begin work on State Route 63 – Mooney Boulevard in the City of Visalia. 

In preparation for the Mooney Boulevard Widening Project, Calwater will begin the relocation of the water lines along Mooney Boulevard beginning at Packwood Creek and continue northbound ending at Noble Avenue.

In an effort to minimize impacts to businesses, residents and commuters, construction crews will be working at night.  The work schedule will be Sunday night from 7:00 p.m. through Friday morning at 6:00 a.m. beginning on Wednesday, June 6, 2007.  It is anticipated that the Calwater project will be in construction until November 2007.  During this time, one lane in each direction will be open at all times.
