Caltrans to Hold Press Conference in Kern County
to Recognize this Year's Adopt-A-Highway Volunteer
of the Year Award Recipients
WHO: The California Department of Transportation’s (Caltrans) Adopt-A-Highway Program, announces the recipients of this year’s Kern County Adopt-A-Highway Volunteer of the Year Awards. Mayor, Harvey Hall, City of Bakersfield; Harvey Hall Family; John Enriquez and Keep Bakersfield Beautiful, located in Kern County, will be recognized for their outstanding volunteer efforts in helping to keep local highways litter-free.
WHAT: Caltrans will hold a Press Conference this week in order to acknowledge and present these outstanding volunteers with their individual Adopt-A-Highway Volunteer of the Year Award certificates.
WHEN: The public and media are invited to attend the Volunteer of the Year Adopt-A-Highway Award presentation ceremony on Friday, March 23rd beginning at 10:00 a.m.
WHERE: Awards presented in the City of Bakersfield at the Bakersfield City Council Chambers at City Hall located at 1501 Truxton Avenue. A map and driving directions may be found at: http://www.bakersfieldcity.us/directions.htm
