Caltrans to Hold a Transportation Planning Grant Workshop

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to improving mobility across California. In the spirit of this commitment, the Caltrans Planning Division in District 6 invites your participation in the Transportation Planning Grant Workshop.

Transportation Planning Grants can help build stronger communities in which to live, promote prosperity, and protect the environment. They provide aid to jobs and housing proximity, goods movement, community involvement, alternative transportation, land use decisions, and transportation demand management. The result of these grants should improve mobility and lead to the programming and implementation of transportation improvement projects.

To learn more about Transportation Planning Grants available through Caltrans, please attend our public workshop on Thursday, August 11, 2005. The workshop will be held at the California Department of Transportation, District 6 Manchester Office located at 2015 East Shields Avenue, Suite A, Fresno from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The 2006-2007 Transportation Planning Grant application package is accessible on the California Department of Transportation, Division of Transportation Planning’s website at http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/tpp/grants.htm. The application deadline is October 14, 2005.
