CENTRAL REGIONAL CALMENTOR PROGRAM

As an advocate of Small Business participation in transportation projects, Caltrans is launching it's Calmentor Program. Resulting from a partnership between Caltrans and the private consulting industry, Calmentor is a program that promotes the participation of certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) firms (certified firms) in the Central Region professional architectural and engineering (A&E) contracts. The Calmentor Program is consistent with the Governor's Executive Order No S-11-06 on Small Business participation in State procurement and contracting processes to meet or exceed the 25% small business participation goal.

Mentors: If your firm is an A & E prime consultant willing to commit time to help certified firms achieve their growth potential, please complete the attached Mentor Application for and mail fax or e-mail the completed for the contact person below.

Protégés If your firm is a certified firm seeking A & E contracts with Caltrans or other public agencies, please complete the attached Protégé Application form and mail, fax or e-mail the completed form to the contact person below. If your firm is not certified and interested in being certified by the appropriate certifying agency, please go the Small Business Program for information on the SB/DVBE or the DBE Programs.
