The responses to bidder's inquiries, unless incorporated into a formal addendem to the contract, are not a part of the contract and are provided for the bidder's convenience only. In some instances, the question and answer may represent a summary of the matters discussed rather than a word-for-word recitation. The availability or use of information provided in the responses to bidder's inquiries is not to be construed in any way as a waiver of the provisions of Section 2-1.03 of the Standard Specifications or any other provision of the contract, the plans, Standard Specifications or Special Provisions, nor to excuse the contractor from full compliance with those contract requirements. Bidders are cautioned that subsequent responses or contract addenda may affect or vary a response previously given.
Q1) Need to know Headwall and Wingwall lengths for each site as wingwalls require additional post and angle bracing.
A1) Refer to Section 2-1.03 Examinations of Plans, Specifications, Contract and Site of Work.
Q2) Will the Cable Rail Posts on the Wingwalls need to be longer in order to mount 3" down from the top of the wall on the lower upper edge of the mounting plate?
A2) Wingwall post to follow detail section A-A on plan sheet RSP B11-47.
Q3) After fabrication, are the mounting plates and the poles galvanize dipped?
A3) See section 75-1.05 Galvanizing of the Standard Specifications.
Q4) How many of the locations are box culverts and do they have wingwalls?

Q5) What locations require Traffic Control and what type, Lane Closure, Shoulder Closure, Two Lane Highway with Flaggers, etc.?
A5) To be determined by bidder to follow the condition warranted.
Q6) Both Projects need Concrete Washouts but I did not see any Concrete required on the projects.

Q7) Are separate "Beginning of Work" Notices for each location going to be required?
Q8) Are the start dates flexible for the two projects?
A8) Start dates are mutually agreed upon between the State and Contractor.
