Q1) We purchased the plans for project 05-0Q6904 and do not understand why this job has 120 days to perform the work based on comparing the bid items. On the major items of work Contract 05-0Q6904 has 14% of the Roadway Excavation called out in O5-0Q6604, no class II Base, 40% of the Asphalt Concrete, and only 35% more concrete barrier. Why does 05-0Q6604 only have half the days project 05-0Q6904 has?
A1)Total length of project, drainage requirements, and considerations for Northbound and Southbound alignments and traffic were all factors in the working day calculations for 05-0Q6604 and 05-0Q6904.
