Q) The project typical section indicates that Type Z-2 Roadway Exc., Hermicidal Fabric and gravel mulch extend throughout the job limits. However, the quantity charts only indicate a portion of the project receives this treatment. Which is correct?

A) The Typical Cross Section sheet does not show all details, as it is intended to be typical only. The typical section only shows "how" the fabric & gravel are to be placed, and therefore, indicate the depth and width limits for Roadway Excavation. The detail on Construction Detail Sheet C-1 provides the station limits for the herbicidal fabric, which are also found on the Summary of Quantities sheet under "Roadway Items", and which also match the locations indicated for "Begin & End Herbicidal Fabric" shown on the Layout sheets.

Q) Section 5-1.13, Project Info indicates that an Aerial Lead Study was furnished to planholders.
We did not receive any information.

A) An addendum is being requested to provide information from the ADL study in an "Information Handout," for all bidders.

Q) What is the purpose of Section 10-1.21,Furnish Sign? There are no signs on this project.

A) Section 10-1.21, "Furnish Sign," of the Special Provisions, provides additional requirements for roadside signs which are to be furnished for Item No. 3, "Construction Area Signs." Also see Section 10-1.07 of the Special Provisions.
