Caltrans Mandatory Pre-bid: I-680 Sunol Express Lane Project in Alameda County (04-4G056)


Caltrans (District 4) and Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) will hold a mandatory pre-bid meeting for prime contractors for the I-680 Sunol Express Lane construction contract. The project will add a 9-mile northbound Express Lane and provide pavement rehabilitation from south of Grimmer Ave to north of SR-84 and convert the existing southbound Express Lane to continuous access between Mission Boulevard (SR-262) and Calaveras Road. The construction contract was advertised for bid on August 14, 2017. Bid opening is October 3, 2017. This $120M construction project is funded with TCRP, SHOPP, and Alameda CTC local funds.

This project has a 12% DBE Goal. All subcontractors and DBEs are highly encourage to attend and meet the primes.
