The Caltrans Photo Dept. is interested in providing you with the proper file size to help you complete your project. If you need to make prints larger than 5x7 inches or you need to publish your selected images, we will provide you with a large file (8x10 @ 300 DPI). If you plan to only use your selected images for e-mailing, PowerPoint presentations, website or view on your computer, we will provide you with a small file (5x7 @ 120 DPI). We will need to know if your computer can read DVD's or not. Please indicate your needs below.

All Material(s) whether in hard copy or electronic form must contain, in a conspicuous place, the Departments copyright designation consisting of the following: Copyright (insert year Material[s] developed) California Department of Transportation 2. Use of the Material(s) is ONLY for personal, informational and or nonprofit educational purposes in accordances with 17 U.S.C.A. SECTION 107 "Fair Use" exception to the copyright law; 3. No modifications to the Material(s) will be made; 4. Requestor will not claim ownership or right in the Material(s) and agrees that the use of the Material(s) will be limited to the permitted use allowed by this Agreement; 5. Use of the Material(s) is for personal or informational and/or educational purposes only; 6. Use of the Material(s) WILL NOT result in the Material(s) being used for any commercial purpose(s), published, reproduced, transmitted (via online publishing and/or in print), stored, sold or distributed for profit, including in any advertisement, seminar or commercial publication; 7. Requestor acknowledges that the Material(s) described above is copyrighted property of the California Department of Transportation and that the Department has sole and exclusive ownership of all rights, title and interest in and to the Material(s), in whole or in part, including all translations, compilations, partial copies, modifications, enhancements and updates thereof (including all copyrights, trademarks and other proprietary interests pertaining thereto), subject only to the limited use expressly granted to Requestor pursuant to this Agreement; and 8. This limited permission to use Agreement does not transfer or provide to Requestor title, ownership, exclusive rights to, or worldwide rights to the Material(s), but only the right to limited use as described above. Requestor is not the owner of any copy(s) of the Material(s) or the media on which the Material(s) are reproduced.
