NIGHT ROAD CLOSURES ON STATE ROUTE 4 IN HERCULES & FRANKLIN CANYON
On Tuesday and Wednesday nights, September 5th, and 6th, State Route 4 will be closed in both directions between I-80 and Cummings Skyway between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., for the purpose of striping and placing temporary concrete railing (K-rail).
Changeable message signs will give motorists advance warning and detour signs will direct traffic around the work. Traffic from westbound Route 4 will be detoured via Cummings Skyway west to Interstate 80 and then westbound on
I-80 to the junction of Route 4 and detour end. Traffic for eastbound Route 4 will be detoured via eastbound I-80 to Cummings Skyway and east on Cummings Skyway to Route 4 east and detour end. Local residents will be allowed to exit at the Bayberry Avenue off-ramp from eastbound I-80, and locals with identification will be allowed access at Cummings Skyway for westbound local traffic.
Traffic delays of 15 minutes are anticipated, use of alternate routes is advised, when possible. For more Information on Bay Area travel, call TravInfo at 817-1717.
