NIGHTTIME ROAD CLOSURES ON I-680 IN CONCORD

On Tuesday night, January 2nd, Caltrans construction crews will be closing all lanes of northbound I-680 at the junction of State Route 242 in Concord between the hours of 11:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., for the purpose of installing electronic loop detectors.

Traffic for northbound I-680 will be detoured via Route 242 north to Route 4 west, then back onto I-680 at the I-680/Route 4 interchange.

On Wednesday night, January 3rd, crews will close all southbound lanes of

I-680 at the Gregory Lane/Monument Boulevard exit between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., to install loop detectors.

Traffic for southbound I-680 will be detoured via the Gregory Lane off-ramp to Contra Costa Boulevard and back onto southbound I-680 at the Contra Costa Boulevard on-ramp.

All lane closures and detours will be clearly marked to advise motorists. Traffic delays are anticipated and use of alternate routes is advised, when possible. Motorists are reminded that construction zones, are double fine zones, and should use caution when traveling through the work area. For more information, call TravInfo at 817-1717.
