NIGHT LANE CLOSURES ON ROUTE 29 NEAR NORTH KELLY ROAD IN NAPA COUNTY

On Thursday night, May 31st, Caltrans Maintenance crews, will be closing the #1, or left lanes in both directions of Route 29, within one-half mile in each direction of North Kelly Road in Napa County, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.

Crews will be placing new signs, concrete barriers and restriping the roadway for the purpose of permanently closing the left and U-turn pockets on Route 29 at North Kelly Road.

Napa County Public Works Department will be restriping North Kelly Road to eliminate left turns onto southbound Route 29. Traffic from North Kelly Road will now be merged right onto northbound Route 29, and no left turns will be allowed to access southbound Route 29. Traffic from North Kelly Road will have to permanently access southbound Route 29, via the southbound direction on North Kelly Road to Route 12, and turn right onto westbound Route 12. Continue west on Route 12 to the junction of Routes 12 and 29 and turn left onto southbound Route 29.

Minor traffic delays are anticipated, use of alternate routes is advised, when possible. Motorist are advised that Maintenance work zones, are double fine zones and to use caution when traveling through the work area. For more Information on Bay Area travel, call TravInfo at 817-1717.
