Caltrans has announced that the Posey and Webster Tubes will remain open 24 hours a day from Friday, December 22, 2000, at 6 a.m. through Tuesday, January 2, 2001, at 9 p.m.

On the evening of January 2, the retrofit work in the tubes will revert back to the regular construction schedule (both tubes will be closed to traffic from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday).
