Related to the repaving construction project on northbound Highway 17 in Santa Clara County, the following nighttime lane closures will occur this week:

Left lane—Summit Rd to Hwy 9 9 PM to 5 AM remove striping, clean median barrier drains
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
Right lane—Bear Creek Rd to Hwy 9 8 PM to 2 AM paving
On and off-ramps at Bear Creek Rd (NB 17 only) 8 PM to 2 AM paving
On and off-ramps at Hwy 9 (to & from NB 17 only) 8 PM to 5 AM paving
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19
Right lane—Bear Creek Rd to Hwy 9 8 PM to 2 AM paving
On and off-ramps at Bear Creek Rd (NB 17 only) 8 PM to 2 AM paving
On and off-ramps at Hwy 9 (to & from NB 17 only) 8 PM to 5 AM paving
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20

All ramp closures have been posted in advance to advise motorists. Changeable message signs will be placed during construction to notify motorists of lane closures, ramp closures and detour routes. Detours:
CLOSURE
DETOURBear Creek Road at Highway 17 Redwood Estates Drive
Highway 9 Santa Cruz Avenue or Lark Avenue
Motorists are advised to expect delays and plan additional time for travel. Additionally, motorists should drive slowly through work zones as construction crews are standing and walking in the lane closures just a few feet from passing traffic. The California Highway Patrol is enforcing the lane closures, and this is a double fine zone.
