TRAFFIC LIGHTS COMING TO BUSY
MARIN COUNTY INTERSECTION


Drivers who use the busy intersection linking Highway 1 and Highway 101 are in for some much-needed relief. Caltrans is replacing the stop signs with traffic signals.

Although the stop signs were adequate for many years, they can no longer handle the ever-increasing number of vehicles. The signals will enable traffic to flow smoothly and freely through the intersection. The traffic backups that have plagued this intersection for some time should be greatly diminished.

The traffic lights are scheduled to be activated on Tuesday, November 28, 2000, at or about 2 PM in the afternoon, weather permitting.
