SCHEDULED THIS WEEK IN CONCORD

On Wednesday and Thursday nights, September 6th, and 7th, Caltrans construction crews will be closing all lanes in both directions of Interstate 680 in Concord at the I-680/Route 242 junction for the purpose of bridge rail demolition.

Crews will close all lanes of I-680 southbound at the I-680 Gregory Lane/Monument Blvd. off-ramp between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.

Traffic will be detoured via the Gregory lane off-ramp, then left onto Contra Costa Blvd., then to the southbound I-680 on-ramp at Boyd Road.

All lanes of northbound I-680 will be closed at the junction of Route 242 between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

Traffic will be detoured via Route 242, then north to Route 4 west, and then west on Route 4 to the I-680/Route 242 junction and detour end.

Traffic delays are anticipated and use of alternate routes is advised, when possible. Motorists are reminded that traffic violators in construction zones will receive double fines.
