Two lanes of westbound I-580 and four toll booths at the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge will be closed tonight, Dec. 19 for repaving work, Caltrans officials have announced.

Toll lanes #1-3 (from the left) will close at 8:30 pm tonight. Toll lane #4 will be shut down at about 11 pm as traffic diminishes. All lanes will reopen at 6 am tomorrow morning.

In addition, two lanes of westbound I-580 from the Richmond Parkway to the bridge toll plaza will be shut down from at 8:30 pm until 6 am.

The closure is for repaving, which is part of a $5 million pavement upgrade project on I-580 from the bridge to the I-80 junction in Albany.
