OFFICE OF CIVIL RIGHT/ GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS is responsible for three (3) major programs: Legislative Affairs, Small Business and Equal Opportunity. The Equal Opportunity program is responsible for ensuring that Caltrans complies with Federal and State anti-discrimination laws and the Department’s EEO policies in all its internal business practices and activities. Ensures “zero tolerance” of discrimination and harassment based on discrimination. Ensures equal opportunity in all areas of employment including hiring, promotions, and training.
