Emperor Norton's Vision Recognized in 1939
The following is the wording on a plaque that currently is placed at the ground level entrance to the Transbay Transit Terminal at 425 Mission Street in San Francisco. The plaque had been located at the Cliff House but was moved to the Terminal by E Clampus Vitas. On November 11, 1986 ceremonies celebrating the 50th anniversary of the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge were held re-dedicating the plaque. The plaque also shows two dogs associated with Norton - Bummer and Lazarus.
