Caltrans District 4 I880 Mission

  • Ramp Metering was turned on at the Route 262/Mission Boulevard/I-880 Interchange on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. It generally takes a week or two for commuters to adjust to the new meters. We appreciate your patience and will be monitoring this area closely.

    I-880 Mission Construction Update
    • June 30, 2009 -The Warren Avenue Interchange is now open to the public. See attached map and use the green route to access Gateway Boulvared from westbound Mission Blvd (Route 262). PDF
    • See attached map and use green route (Warren Avenue) to access Gateway from northbound I-880. PDF
    • The overall contract was completed in 2009.
    • I-880 HOV Lanes opened to traffic on November 19, 2008. This allowed HOV's to have a continuous lane open from San Leandro to Route 237 in Milpitas.
    • Updates for the next phase will be given when construction begins.
